John's Sunday Trip

John went out this weekend. Here are some pictures from the Sunday trip. It was somewhere north of Kabul. Most of the photos were taken from a moving vehicle and through that thick safety glass. I thought they were flying in helicopters out to the site--glad I didn't know they were going in a convoy, because I don't think I would have been able to sleep had I known.

Looking for Something Familiar

I am always looking for a familiar face, someone to match Luci up to. I found a familiar face in the Olympics, on China's team, of course. He Kexin...an incredible gymnast. She looks a lot like Luci. If you follow the gymnastics world news, you might remember a controversy surrounding her--she was proclaimed to be too young to enter the Olympics this year. This source has her birthdate adjusted to 1992, making her legal. I found some more information about her here, including some discussion about the age question.

She was born in Beijing... I was hoping to find another Bouyei Baby. I guess not, but wow! what an exciting young lady.

Here's a slideshow of this young lady and her team on Zimbio. Did you see "my" girl win a gold medal?! :)

End of the Year Pics

Here's a slide show of the pictures on my camera that I just couldn't bear to delete. I'm starting the year off with a clean ScanDisc in the camera! Woo-hoo, exciting, I know.

Christmas Celebration

Today Heath and Shanna and their two girls, Sophia and Sara came for Christmas. We all had a good time. We had tons of pictures of everyone except Bryan! So his picture here is from a camping trip. Just imagine him playing video games while the rest of us visited.

Luci and Sophia had the most fun. You'll see in the slide show. This seemed the easiest way to show you the 18 pictures I wanted to share.
