JT's Last BasketBall Game

JT got another basket! If you look carefully, you can see it going in! He may not be the best (only 3 baskets all season) but he sure has the heart. He has been sick all week and wanted to play today. Way to go, JT!
Nice trophy! Thanks, Coach!
Hey! His cupcake looks frostier than mine!
Pretty baby needs her blankie.

What a Day!

JT's basketball team is, well, not the best. They try hard, though. The first game they played today had the score of 12 to 0--that's twelve baskets to none. Sounds better than 24-0, don't you think? Remember that photo of JT with his team? Here it is again, just in case you don't remember it. I should have told you the name of the team--you won't believe this--it's Black Magic!

The second game was nearly halfway over when JT made the first basket of the day. HOORAY! Every parent cheered. It was great! I wish I had a picture of JT's face when he made that basket! What joy! That seemed to open up the flood-gates, because after that there were 4 more baskets by other boys on his team. So that score was 34-10.

I rescued Luci from the Baby Jail (what the boys call Child Watch at the YMCA) at halftime in the second game. I leaned down to tell Luci, "Hello, Beauty." She looked up at me and said, "Hi, Beast."

Here's Luci today--the t-shirt was on the boys' racks at Walmart but it was cuter by far than any of the little girls' t-shirts (they were too "kiss me" for me to pick one for Luci). This shirt seems to say it all, anyway.

(she has a peanut in her mouth, that's why her teeth look a little funny.)

Guess Which Kid Is Mine?

I got so tickled at JT's first basketball practice. I met some of the other moms, and after introducing myself, I said, "You know which kid is mine--the white one--which one is yours?" It was so funny, and all the other moms laughed, too.

JT's team finally won a game yesterday, but lost the second game. I don't think they cared one bit that they lost the second game! They are all nice boys, and the coach is a good, patient man. His own child is not even on this team, but plays on another YMCA team.

JT, Luci, and Why I Love Greenhill

First of all, JT got a basket!! during one of his games today. We all cheered! He said I was the loudest of all the parents. Of course. His team tied one game, which was considered a win by the parents. Remember, these other teams are like giants.

Here is Luci sitting? and listening? to 'Twas the Night Before Christmas during our party today. I am going to have to get strict with her diet--the Feingold diet worked wonders with Mr. Energizer Bunny, aka Bryan. If you have a child whom you think might be afflicted with adhd, do yourself a favor and check out the website. It is a non-medical adhd intervention. Just a change of diet. And you can eat junk food.

Why I love living in Greenhill: Tonight at 8:44, I discovered Luci had no more Huggies sleeping diapers. I made the executive decision to run to Foodland and get some more (John is in Cullman visiting lots of relatives). The store closes at 9 pm, and I was back home with the diapers by 8:55. Wow, I love living close to a grocery store!
