Return to Oka Kapassa

Yes, even homeschoolers take field trips. Our latest one was to Spring Park in Tuscumbia, to see Return to Oka Kapassa. We saw dancers and crafts, and heard music and stories. I love going to this celebration because 1) it is close, 2) since we are not part of a big group of kids, my kids get to move from item to item as they choose and spend more time where they wish, and 3) this is geared toward 5th graders, so my kids get lots of attention since they are either older (more attentive and truly interested) or younger (cute preschooler).

They asked the kids to raise their hands if they wanted to join in in the Friendship Dance. Notice that Luci is sitting on her hands!
