Please Vote

Here is a survey, being taken by Costco Connection. It is asking,

Yes or No

I don't care how you vote, but please do vote. If you know me well, you know that I am a certified teacher--I was one of the last groups to get a permanent teaching certificate in the state of Texas. College degree in education, taught for 7 years (Kindergarten for 2 and 3rd grade for 5). But none of that helped me teach my own kids in my own home. I had more paperwork in public school, and dealt with crowd management--I'm pretty good at that. But none of that prepared me to teach my own kids. Teaching in a classroom is more like trying to hit 30 bulls-eyes with buckshot. Homeschooling is like “Extreme Tutoring.”

I voted NO. Because certification isn't what is needed. A passion for your own children's education is what is essential. I have quite a few homeschooling friends who didn't make it to college and are teaching their children much more than any public or private school could.

I guess I really do care how you vote.

I voted... no of course. It's not a requirement in MD and who wants to make it any harder than it already is?! I'm with ya, sista
