Headline: Saving Water Makes Tomatoes Grow

We stopped watering our garden sometime in August, realizing that the $50 water bill just wasn't worth the 3 tomatoes, 2 miniature squash and 2 little peppers. This morning we worked in the front flower garden and I asked JT to go check on his tomato plant (and I wondered why, in this drought, hasn't it died?). He called back to me that there were 13 tomatoes on it now! Thirteen! We should have stopped watering it earlier. Now there are 12 growing, since Luci found a green tomato just her size ("It's teeny, Mommy").
